Paris, the City of Light, is renowned not only for its rich history and breathtaking architecture but in our opinion more importantly for its killer food and wine scene. From cozy bistros to avant-garde dining, Paris offers a plethora of choices and these are a few of our favorites right now...

Cheval d'Or

21 Rue de la Villette, 75019 Paris

Nestled in the 19th arrondissement, Cheval d'Or is a gem that blends French culinary techniques with Asian flavors. Chef Taku Sekine has curated a menu that never fails to surprise and delight with dishes like duck breast with Sichuan pepper and miso eggplant. The minimalist yet warm ambiance, combined with a thoughtful selection of natural wines, makes it a must when we are there.

Comice

Located in the 16th arrondissement, Comice offers a refined and elegant dining experience that never feels stuffy or rehearsed. Helmed by the talented duo, Noam Gedalof and Etheliya Hananova, this Michelin-starred restaurant emphasizes seasonal ingredients and innovative presentations. Their signature dishes, such as the delicate lobster bisque and perfectly cooked pigeon, highlight the finesse and creativity that define this culinary haven.

It almost doesn’t feel like a tasting menu but rather like a great meal at a friends house with dish after delightful dish coming from the kitchen.

228 Rue de Charenton, 75012 Paris

228 Litres is a haven for those who want to raid a great wine list. This wine bar and restaurant in the 12th arrondissement boasts an impressive selection of over 1,000 wines from around the world. The intimate setting and knowledgeable staff make it an ideal spot for both casual sipping and in-depth wine exploration. The menu features simple yet delicious dishes designed to complement the extensive wine list, including charcuterie boards, cheeses, and seasonal small plates.

Maison Sota

8 Rue Gustave Goublier, 75010 Paris

Maison Sota, in the 10th arrondissement, is the brainchild of Chef Sota Atsumi, known for his tenure at Clown Bar. This intimate restaurant offers a tasting menu that reflects Atsumi's Japanese heritage and his mastery of French cuisine. One of the most exciting meals we have had in Paris, and the wine list is equally impressive.

Parcelles, aka Sarah’s home away from home, is located in the trendy Marais district, Parcelles is a bistro that celebrates the essence of French terroir. With a focus on organic and sustainably sourced ingredients, the menu features classic dishes with a modern twist. Highlights include the succulent roast chicken and the perennial favorite ris de veau. The cozy interior and extensive wine list coupled by the incredible warmth and welcome proprietors Sarah and Basiten extend to each guest puts it always at the top of our list.

Septime

80 Rue de Charonne, 75011 Paris

Septime, situated in the 11th arrondissement, and coincidentally just awarded 11th on the 50 Best list is a must-visit for any food lover in Paris. Chef Bertrand Grébaut's dedication to seasonal and locally sourced ingredients is evident in every dish. The tasting menu, which changes frequently, showcases the best of contemporary French cuisine with dishes like roasted vegetables with herb emulsion and tender lamb with wild garlic. The rustic yet chic decor and impeccable service is immeasurably enhanced by wine director Nico’s perfect wine parings and extensive wine list. Lunch is our favorite meal there.

Vantre
